It’s been a long time since I went on a thrift store shopping spree (too many) for clothes. I only went there to look for sewing patterns, but I couldn’t help but browse the clothes – especially sweatshirts. I love comfy sweatshirts and I have a few that should probably be replaced. (I wouldn’t, but I probably should, haha).
Anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted something like this – pictures of clothes I bought. In fact, I don’t even “look” at jeans or other pants because I don’t need any. I’ve changed my jeans to the way I like them—even though they’re a little tight now, yikes—and I don’t want to start over from scratch.
But I’m so excited about what I found yesterday! start…
I like this jacket even though it is too big. The arm stripes are my favorite part so I had to show them off 😉 |
The sweatshirt had the word “COMFORT” embroidered on it, so I had to buy it. It’s really super soft! |
On the left is a very old (probably from the 1980s) Tahquamenon Falls T-shirt. On the right is a T-shirt with cacti on it (I’m not sure if the plural is “cactuses” or “cacti”, apparently, both are correct). |
The shirt on the left is SO ME – I like dark humor. It says, “When you’re dead inside, but it’s still the holidays”. Another shirt looks a little vintage (I *love* anything vintage) and says “Dream Big” |
On the left, of course, is a Detroit sweatshirt. There is a heart-shaped period, but you can’t see it in this picture. I actually bought the tunic on the right because of the fabric – I thought it would make a cool lining for the bag. But once I tried it, I really liked it! So what kind of pants would I wear? Have an idea? |
A vintage Adidas hoodie (love it!) and on the right a sweatshirt that’s too small and uncomfortable.I’ll probably donate it. |
On the left, just a comfy sweatshirt. On the right is a soft, long-sleeved shirt that’s not very flattering. |
Again, my jacket is too big, but it looks so vintage (and brand new) that I don’t want to buy it. On the right is a Janis Joplin T-shirt. I really like Janis Joplin. |
On the left is another Detroit shirt (I love this green); on the right is a short T-shirt that says “You are my sunshine.” I really like this, but I don’t wear short shirts. I have a lot of ribbed hems from other clothes, though, so I might try adding one to the bottom. |
The coat on the left is actually made of fabric. This is neither flattering nor comfortable. The one on the right is just a running top – super comfortable, moisture wicking. |
On the left is a T-shirt with the shape of Michigan’s Great Lakes written on it. On the right is a very comfortable sweatshirt that looks to be my favorite color shirt to wear. |
Since I always talk about being nice to people, I thought this sweatshirt would be perfect for me! On the right, I actually bought this skirt and had it turned into a blouse – but I kind of like it as is. Even if I’m wearing jeans underneath! |
On the left is pretty much the softest shirt imaginable. On the right is my favorite find of the day! This is the coolest shirt – I’ve never seen anything like it. You can see the texture underneath; it’s ribbed, but the ribs are wide. It’s super stretchy and comfortable! |
That’s it for the clothes. However, in addition to my clothes, I bought some storage boxes, a few pairs of jeans for Jerry, a few shirts for Eli and Noah, and some small craft supplies.
I saw some interesting shirts but didn’t buy them – I had to take pictures though!
I actually bought this for Noah. He’s obsessed with cats, probably like me. |
I wish I had thought of making a shirt like this when I was pregnant. (If you’re not familiar, this is a Friends TV show reference.) |
This is so…interesting? …don’t share! 😉 |
