This Baked and Crunchy Best Pear Blend has some amazing ingredients: fresh pears, oats, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, and cinnamon. Have you ever wondered if trail mix is healthy? sure! This homemade trail mix recipe is proof of that! This delicious homemade trail mix is high in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals, low in sugar and fat, and packed with flavor and nutrients. It’s also gluten-free and vegan, making it a great choice for everyone.
Bake this healthy trail mix for a healthy snack for the whole family; kids will love it in their lunchboxes and adults will love it in their briefcases and gym bags. You can also carry it while hiking and camping. Also delicious sprinkled on cereal, plant-based yogurt, smoothies or fruit. Use it in place of granola or cereal in recipes, like this Creamy Peach Yogurt Parfait .
You can easily swap out the ingredients for other ingredients to suit your taste preferences or pantry supplies. For example, try walnuts instead of almonds, pumpkin seeds instead of sunflower seeds, and peanut butter instead of almond butter. With just 10 ingredients, you can whip up this best trail mix in no time, then let it roast slowly in the oven. Because this recipe uses fresh pears, I recommend storing them in the refrigerator or freezer. I use my mother’s antique blue canning jars (pictured) to store my baked trail mix. Be careful, once you succeed, it will disappear!
