Anything worth doing is worth persistence, hard work and patience. Just ask 32-year-old financial analyst Hailey Nelson, who has lost 30 pounds since starting her weight-loss journey with Diet-to-Go in February.

“I’ve lost about a pound a week since starting this program, so it’s clearly working,” Haley said, adding that she appreciates the consistency. “Not as fast as I wanted, but I also knew losing 60 pounds in five months wasn’t realistic. It wasn’t a quick fix.”

Hailey is committed to her ultimate goal of 150 pounds, and knowing that it will happen one step at a time keeps her going. Hailey’s daily routine consists of eating her grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner, and if she wants, Fiber One brownies in the evening.

“My routine is really good. It gets easier every day,” Hailey said.

She also maintains a consistent fitness routine, which she started in February, along with a “Diet-to-Go” meal plan that includes simple strength training at lunchtime and 2 to 3 walks on the treadmill in the evening. mile.

“It’s ingrained in me now,” Haley said. “I might even feel weird if I skip a day, but I don’t feel scared. I just get right back to it.”

This mindset carried over to her vacation, and she found that even without losing weight, she was able to maintain the weight by being consistent every other day of her life.

Hailey’s hard work culminated in an incredible feel-good moment in July, when she visited a friend she hadn’t seen in months.

“As soon as I walked in the door, she was like, ‘Oh my God, have you lost weight?!'” Haley said. “That was the first thing she said to me. It made me feel really good, it was so nice. It’s hard to get noticed on your own, so it’s really nice to be noticed.”

Haley says Diet-to-Go makes it easier for her to stick with it. She regularly uses the myDiettogo online portal to check calorie counts for weekly meals, change meal plans, substitute meals, and check delivery dates.

“Replacing is really easy and I love eating replacement meals. I find foods I’ve never eaten before and it allows me to try new things,” Hailey said. “I also log into the portal and write down my calorie count so I can add calories and see if there’s room for a brownie or something.”

Haley says tracking calories has also been extremely helpful when she’s faced her biggest weight-loss challenge: gathering with friends or dining out with her fiancĂ©.

“My fiancĂ© sometimes wants to order takeout or go out for sushi on the weekends,” she said. “So, I allow myself a cheat meal over the weekend and then recalculate which grab-and-go meals I’m going to give up or skip to accommodate the calories I’m eating in the cheat meal.”

The key, she says, is leniency.

“Sometimes I want to be kind to myself, but I don’t want to take it too far,” Haley said. “If I start to see that I’m not making as much progress as I normally would, I’ll completely back off.”

Hailey said that as a DIY person, she appreciates that Diet-to-Go has all the tools she needs to stay on track.

“I appreciate Diet-to-Go because it really allows me to maintain this daily lifestyle and I haven’t given up,” she said. “I think it’s awesome.”

She said she hopes her success story inspires others to understand that losing weight and maintaining it is a marathon, not a sprint.

“I’m in this for the long haul,” Haley said. “Even if it takes me a full year, I know it’s realistic. That’s what I tell other people: stick with it for the long haul. If you do this, you’ll really see change.”
