When you start your weight loss journey, it can be scary. You must choose a plan that supports your new lifestyle. You have to change your eating habits, get educated, set a schedule, and measure your success along the way. You can even incorporate fitness into the mix, which brings a whole new level of complexity.

And, most importantly, you must be 100% committed to the program. This means creating a new pattern and doing it one step at a time, throughout the day.

But no matter how difficult the journey may seem, it’s always worth it in the end. You will gain new life and enjoy the deep satisfaction that comes from making a change for the better.

Achieving this goal can be challenging, but a very effective way to keep going when things get tough is through positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are statements or phrases we say to ourselves with the goal of moving toward the many things we are capable of accomplishing.

With that in mind, we share positive affirmations; mantras related to weight loss—things you can repeat in your mind when you wake up in the morning, before you go to bed at night, and especially during all the difficult moments in between.

1) I love and accept myself.

You may not be where you want to look or feel yet, but you should be proud of the fact that you are currently working toward that goal.

2) I choose what I put into my body.

There is one thing that no one can take away from you – the power of choice. No one will force you to eat or drink anything you don’t want to eat.

3) I am worthy.

You deserve to be the best version of yourself, and more importantly, you have the ability to achieve it.

4) I focus on activities and people that fulfill me.

Food is meant to nourish our bodies, not be a catch-all outlet for everything from celebrating to processing emotions. Make the event and your friends or family a real attraction. Food should be secondary.

5) I am very patient.

Nothing is worth having immediately. Remember, the light at the end of the tunnel is there; it just takes time and persistence to get there.

6) I deserve to look and feel my best.

Values play an important role in the ability to move forward. You do deserve it and believe that will get you there.

7) I embrace my confidence.

Confidence is not something everyone is born with. But repeating to yourself that you have faith is a big step toward resilience.

8) I like the way exercise makes me feel.

Whether you walk every day, watch workout videos a few times a week, or have a full gym membership, paying attention to how your body feels during and after exercise is a surefire way to keep making progress.

9) Even when I encounter setbacks, I am still learning.

Every time you successfully achieve your goal during the day, you learned something! The same rule applies when you make a mistake or things don’t go the way you wanted them to. As long as you are willing to learn, you will win!

10) Following a healthy eating plan is easy.

With Diet-to-Go, eating healthy is as easy as clicking, ordering, delivery and reheating. We’ve taken this into consideration and come up with chef-crafted ready-to-eat meals that balance nutrition and portion size. No need to think. Just heat, eat and you’ll reach your goals quickly! *

Ultimately, an important part of reaching the goals you want is to start with a positive mindset. Sometimes this is easier said than done. Repeating positive affirmations to yourself in these moments will help you keep going!
