Sharing my experience so far using the EquiLife CBO protocol as part of my gut healing process. You can read more about my journey here.
Hi friends! I hope you have a great week! We were in California celebrating spring break with the cast and crew. I’ll be sharing some of my adventures in IG Stories and some photos in Friday Faves.
In today’s post, I want to talk about my CBO agreement journey as I am five weeks into the process. (I can’t believe it’s been this long!) This was a big step in my healing journey from eye issues and autoimmune symptoms because I did some tests and found bacteria, yeast, and rosary in my gut The bacterial content is very high. You can see more about my experience here.
CBO is a 12-week program, and while it’s not for the faint of heart, I’ve noticed incredible improvements.
EquiLife CBO Agreement Review
What is the EquiLife CBO Agreement?
Equilife Candida, the bacteria optimization program is carefully designed and engineered to address imbalances in the gut microbiome, specifically targeting Candida, fungal and yeast overgrowth, and bacterial dysbiosis.By harnessing the power of natural ingredients known for their antifungal, antibacterial and intestinal healing properties, the program aims to restore harmony within the intestinal ecosystem. The goal of the CBO program is to clear the gut of “bad” bacteria, repopulate it with good bacteria, and heal and seal the intestinal lining.
Friendly reminder: I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice. I’m just sharing my experience using this protocol. As with any diet or supplement regimen, it is important for individuals to consult their primary care physician or qualified health care provider before making any changes. This ensures compatibility with existing medical conditions, medications and personal health needs.
Key ingredients in a CBO agreement:
Saccharomyces boulardii: A powerful probiotic with protective effects.
Berberine: Extracted from a variety of plants including goldenseal and juniper, berberine has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties that can effectively inhibit bacterial overgrowth and restore microbial balance.
Oregano oil: Oregano oil is known for its antibacterial abilities and contains compounds such as carvacrol and thymol, which have powerful antifungal and antibacterial effects and help eradicate pathogenic microorganisms in the intestines.
Enzymes and probiotics: This Equilife program also includes a blend of digestive enzymes and probiotics to support optimal digestion and gut flora balance. Enzymes promote the breakdown and absorption of nutrients, while probiotics replenish beneficial bacteria to create a thriving intestinal environment.
How it works:
The Equilife Candida Bacteria Optimization Program uses a multi-faceted approach to address underlying intestinal imbalances. Herbs target pathogenic microbes, while enzymes and probiotics support digestive health and microbial diversity. This synergistic effect helps relieve symptoms associated with Candida overgrowth and bacterial imbalance, promoting overall gut health.
advantage:
Comprehensive Program for Candida Overgrowth and Bacterial Dysbiosis
Made with natural ingredients with antifungal and antibacterial properties
Supports optimal digestive and gut health
Relieves symptoms such as bloating, digestive discomfort, allergies, joint pain and other autoimmune symptoms, skin problems and fatigue
Developed by Dr. Stephen Cabral – he is my mentor and I am a huge fan of the products he creates as well as his message and brand
Children’s plan is available for children aged 3 years and above
shortcoming:
Individual reactions may vary and results may take some time to show
Requires commitment to dietary and lifestyle changes for optimal results
Not suitable for people with certain medical conditions or allergies
Importance of functional testing:
Before starting the Equilife Candida Bacteria Optimization Program, individuals must undergo functional testing to determine the root cause of their intestinal problems. Functional testing provides valuable insights into markers of gut health, guiding personalized treatment strategies for optimal outcomes. If you are interested in testing options, please send me an email (gina@fitnessista.com)
I would definitely not do this protocol without testing first as it is expensive and lengthy (12 weeks)
My personal experience:
The biggest thing stopping me from starting the program sooner was the recommended dietary guidelines.
For optimal efficiency you must follow the guidelines, the biggest challenges for me were:
No garlic or onions.
Whoa? ! I put garlic and onions in everything. If a recipe calls for garlic, I double or triple the amount. Two cloves in the recipe? No, they definitely meant six.
That’s why I waited until the holidays, Liv’s birthday trip, and some of the trips and activities we had planned were over before I was ready to start. I want to have as much control as possible, so I wait until the moment makes the most sense. I started this the day after Valentine’s Day (when I went crazy at Fleming’s Bar lol) and planned to end my 21 days when we were in Vegas so I could drink A cocktail and a nice dinner.
If you’re wondering why they don’t recommend garlic or onions, it’s because they are powerful prebiotics that feed all the bacteria in your gut: good and bad. You don’t want to repopulate the same area, so vinegar and fermented foods, as well as certain fruits, are not recommended.
I can’t post complete dietary guidelines on the blog, but the first 21 days are basically meat, legumes, some fruits, lots of vegetables, and a little fat (mainly olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado). After the first 21 days, you can start implementing “flexible” meals once a week to ease your nutritional issues and start reintroducing other foods (e.g. eggs, nuts, some condiments, gluten-free grains) while reviewing your diet Reaction roads.
The first 21 days were challenging, but not unbearable. I realized how much I crave sugar, and that it would most likely lead me to where I am now. After the first 21 days, things got much easier. I can eat gluten free oats, rice, essentials/seeds/chia and have no reaction after adding new foods.
This is the biggest problem:
Eggs are my favorite food, but I haven’t eaten them regularly in almost 6 months. Egg whites still irritate my food sensitivity tests and give me breakouts on my cheeks and chin, so I’ve been avoiding them.
Since I healed my gut, I have been able to bring them back into my life without any breakouts or reactions. When we were in Vegas, I had a big plate of scrambled eggs (they were super buttery and delicious!) and nothing happened. This is amazing.
The biggest benefit I noticed was increased energy and no more brain fog. I was feeling distracted and confused, and this program greatly improved my focus, energy, and productivity. The inflammation on my face is completely gone – even when I took the photo for this post a few months ago, my cheeks still looked puffy! – and I don’t feel bloated or bloated.
I have been making a point of flexible meals each week and have enjoyed some amazing desserts, a few cocktails and more substantial meals.
If I feel good near the halfway point, I’ll be happy to see my progress when I finish. If you have any questions, or are curious about functional testing, please let me know – I’ll be happy to assist!
EquiLife discount code
EquiLife is having a Founders Sale right now and you can add my code FITNESSISTA10 to the current offer (products only; it does not apply to labs as they are heavily discounted during the sale)
Here are some I recommend:
– 7 days detox. It’s perfect for a little “spring cleaning” and a great way to help eliminate toxins and restore deficiencies while giving your liver a little extra love. This was my introduction to EquiLife (and my IHP certification), and I’ve been a fan ever since. My clients have had incredible success with this detox as well!
– Universal Binder! I like to drink this before a sauna, hot yoga, or eating something I wouldn’t normally eat (like alcohol or fried foods).
– Full Spectrum Magnesium. I take this every night and sleep like a baby 🙂 It is very important to use a balanced magnesium that contains different forms. They all have different purposes and work together.
– Daily nutritional support. I eat this every day as a protein pudding (mixed with some Truvani or NOW Foods protein), oatmeal, or in a smoothie. It’s packed with vitamins and nutrients, making it a great daily multivitamin.
– The best weighted blanket. I wrote this post in advance, praying it was part of a promotion!
– Top 5 Lab and Starter Kit Discounts. This is the only time the five major labs are discounting together. You can purchase labs through these links, if you would like me to review the labs with you, please email me (gina@fitnessista.com Topic Labs) before ordering. I can provide you with my energy platform, coaching calls, and make sure I can track your results.
Have a great day and see you soon!
