5 casual everyday mom uniforms

Hi friends! How was your day? I hope you had a wonderful morning. Last night, a few girlfriends and I went to a super fun event at Creative Tribe. We got to learn tarot—don’t worry, I’m not changing my online business haha—and embroidered a tarot tote bag. The Creative Tribe hosts many unique craft events and offers BYOB service so you can taste wine from a Yeti glass. What a great way to spend the evening.

Casual Everyday Mom Uniform

In today’s post, I wanted to share some of the casual mom uniforms I’ve been wearing lately. I love getting outfit ideas from friends, especially ones that I can wear every day and look “put together” for everything I do during the day: chasing girls, working, running errands, playing with dolls on the living room floor, or Playing football outside with the kids. I’d love to live in Lulu 100% of the time, but I find that when I take a moment to put on non-active clothes, I feel better and be more productive. (This post totally includes a workout outfit because #reallife)

1) Everlane button-down shirt with denim shorts and scarf headband

(Paired with these sandals)

I got the idea for this headband from Jess, it’s a fun fashion detail and a way to hide the fact that my hair needs washing. This shirt is my first time ordering from Everlane and I will definitely be trying more of their pieces. (I’m not sure about sizing, tops are usually between 2 and 4. I ordered a size 2 and it worked perfectly. I might try a size 4 if it fits better) This is the perfect everyday white button down shirt: lightweight, not too tight Transparent and easy to wash. These denim shorts are super comfortable and easy to incorporate into different cute mom outfits.

2) Express black jumpsuit with embellished sandals (<—the black is gone, but the blush is only $40!)

Romper

This jumpsuit made me realize how easy it is to wear black all the time. Before, I could never understand why people had all-black wardrobes, now I totally get it. Simple, elegant, versatile and prosperous. Plus, if you need an extra layer, you can easily throw on a denim jacket. These sandals are my go-to. They match so many things and I always get compliments on them. If you’re looking for more relaxed casual wear, I highly recommend this.

3) Rails Dress with Low-Top Sneakers (<—part of the Anniversary Sale! Price reduced from $130 to $85, on sale to the public tomorrow)

Rails dress

This is my favorite outfit right now! It recently shipped from Trunk Club and although it’s a bit pricey, I’ve worn it quite a few times. (Please note, sizes run a little large, so if you are in between sizes, please size down.)

4) lululemon shorts with V-neck T-shirt and APL sneakers

Lulu Life

I need some new pair of revealing shorts because… my butt is getting bigger lol. So I found these florals and really loved the prints.

5) Sport shorts and tank top with embellished sandals

Athletes Clothing

(These are the ones pictured above because the black ones I usually wear are out of stock)

This is my first time trying Athleta’s non-athletic clothing and I’m a huge fan. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, a must-have for Tucson summers, and it’s super flattering. I heard their jeans are a dream for me too.

6) T-shirt and denim shorts with sneakers

This is one of my favorite mom outfit ideas. It’s similar to the first outfit, but more casual. For this look, all I need is a graphic or striped tee, a pair of versatile denim shorts, and a pair of white sneakers. This effortless yet stylish look is the essence of mom style.

7) Shirt dress with sandals

The classic shirt dress is another great option for moms. Whether you’re running errands, handing out snacks at soccer practice, or trying to enjoy a quick dinner date, this dress makes it easy to look stylish and put together.

I also feel like I’m in an awkward phase of my fashion life. Many times, I find styles that are too young or too mature. I needed something somewhere between a mumu and a crop top paired with a high-waisted skirt (<—super cute but will definitely turn a few heads when dropped off at preschool).

Where do you get your everyday clothes? Where is your favorite place to shop? I’ve been ordering mostly everything from Nordstrom lately just because they have so many different items and a great return policy. I’m also a big fan of Trunk Club; many of the outfits above come from these goods. If you have any favorite stores or online resources for everyday clothing, please let me know!

(Also, do you like these types of posts or not?)

Hope you have a great day and see you in the morning!
