Friday Favorites 3.1 – Fitness Guru

Hi friends! Happy Friday! What are you going to do this weekend? After 4 weeks in a row of traveling to Phoenix, Vegas, San Diego, and back to Phoenix last weekend, I was looking forward to yoga classes, dinner with my family, and a weekend of “doing nothing.” As much fun as we had, it would also be nice to have a low-key weekend at home.

Last week’s adventure: taking Liv to see Olivia Rodrigo! It was one of her Christmas gifts and she had been looking forward to it. (I felt bad that the four of us couldn’t go, but when the pre-sale started I fought to get two tickets!) P went on a father-daughter adventure with friends to the bowling alley and arcade.

Olivia Rodrigo is amazing. I really love her voice – Liv is a huge fan – and her talent, production quality and dancers all blew me away. I like it better than Taylor Swift (don’t throw anything at me!)

We went with friends which made the experience even more enjoyable. The rest of the week is filled with things around the house – I can’t wait to show you the end result – and the usual craziness of school/dance/work/housework/life.

Our favorite weekly Friday party is here! Here I’m sharing some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out your favorites in the comments section below.

Read, watch, listen:

I’m listening to this podcast as I write this.

Don’t forget to watch this week’s HRL episode to learn about Udo Erasmus’ 8-step process for holistic health.

On a mission to help Mazer live forever.

How one small habit can change your life.

Health + Fitness:

I put on the new CGM and it was fun checking things out and getting new data. I’m curious to see how it responds to the huge increase in legumes in my life – I eat legumes every day for lunch or dinner on the CBO protocol! – and remain stable. If you’re curious about trying Nutrisense, I highly recommend it. It’s incredible how our bodies respond to food, exercise, sleep, and stress, and their RD can help you analyze data, provide tips, and conduct experiments. You can see my full post here and try it out using the code GINA50 here.

(Make these sweet potato and chickpea tacos with equal parts cooked sweet potato and chickpea flour. I cook them in a little coconut oil for 2-3 minutes per side. Make sure to use wet hands to form the disk.)

Fashion + Beauty:

This Madewell dress! I tried wearing it the other day and it started pouring. Thankfully, spring is just around the corner.

Reader favorites for February. It’s always fun to look back at the analysis and see which of the products I’ve shared here on the blog are your favorites this month.

Here are February’s top picks:

This pajama is a lie. I have the tan and want another color.

The best retainer cleaner. You will need this if you wear Invisalign or retainers. It’s much cheaper than some versions and works really well. It’s also small enough for travel.

This shoe spray. This is my holy grail of sneakers (especially kids). I also used it on Liv’s white floral backpack before school started and it still looks brand new.

This little rebounder. This is a fun way to support the lymphatic system and I love jumping for 5-10 minutes a day.

This square neck jumpsuit. The perfect mom swimsuit.

These slippers are surprisingly neutral and perfect for spring and summer.

This cozy robe.

My go-to jogging shoe for life and travel.

These heart shaped earrings.

This piece comes in so many gorgeous colors.

Beautycounter has some exciting things coming out this month! Make sure you read my newsletter to get the news first!

Happy Friday, friends! Have a nice day and I’ll see you soon!
