Winter body care routine—Estée Lalonde

I love my winter body care ritual. I always feel a little “tired” in the winter, so I do tend to put in extra time and effort into body care:

I love dry brushing, especially this time of year when everything feels a little cracked and dry. It’s great for exfoliation, lymphatic drainage, and increasing energy and circulation, which is definitely what’s needed right now!

I also love body scrubs, of course my favorite is the mirror water scrub, but I don’t usually do both dry brushing and scrubbing on the same day, especially in the winter when my skin is a little more sensitive.

Fake tan is my winter savior. From December to March I was like a ghost and would do anything to avoid this. While I’d love to be able to achieve a natural tan, this is next to impossible in London in the winter unless I’m flying somewhere regularly, but that’s not sustainable for the planet (and my wallet!). Therefore, Paradise Island’s fake tan products have always been my go-to. I love the glow it gives me and it’s not patchy or orange!

I love pairing my tan with a smoothing body oil and balm, both of which are MIRROR WATER (smoothing and rubbing) because they make me glow! Smooth is my winter crutch as it makes me look radiant. It has a non-greasy formula so it’s perfect for winter as it doesn’t get messy under all my layers! I always have chafing in the winter too! It’s the perfect little balm for all my dry, chapped spots that seem to magically appear in the winter. Again it’s completely non-greasy and very convenient to have in my bag or on my desk without having to worry about a greasy keyboard!

Finally, of course, I like to take a hot bath to warm the cockles. My bathtub is always filled with SOAK bath salts from MIRROR WATER, gorgeous bath oils like Bath for the Senses by Susanne Kaufmann which is so gorgeous, and of course candles: my current favorite is the Kush candle from Boy Smells.
